Basma Wahba announces a decision she will write in her will

The media, Basma Wahba, announced her decision to donate her organs after death, stressing that she will write this in her will, after the fatwa of her legal permissibility, issued by Sheikh Ibrahim Reda, one of the scholars of Al-Azhar.

And Wahba added, during her program "90 Minutes", which is broadcast on the axis screen: "I announce the donation of my organs upon death, and I will write that in my will."


 Ibrahim Reda, one of the scholars of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, had pointed out after the controversy that arose after a number of celebrities announced the donation of their organs after death, saying that all the fiqh councils confirmed the permissibility of transferring organs from the neighborhood to the neighborhood as a way of donation.

He said during a media intervention, that the transfer of organs from the dead to the living is permissible, and it is not permissible to transfer the organs of the dead except after a will from him, noting that organ donation after death is a form of ongoing charity, and that the fatwa forbidding donation opened the door to organ trade.

Earlier, the head of the Parliament’s Health Committee, Dr. Ashraf Hatem, confirmed that the organ donation law was issued in 2010 and its regulations were issued in 2017, and therefore the Egyptian state will solve any legislative problems facing organ donation after death.
