A camel shepherd found the body of a Saudi citizen missing for more than 3 months, in the Al-Quway'iyah desert in the Qassim region in the north of the Kingdom.

The incident occurred when a report was received to the security authorities from a camel herder stating that he had found the body of a deceased person in the Al-Quway'iyah desert.

When the police inspected the body, it became clear that it belonged to the citizen, Dhaifallah Al-Mutairi, who had been missing since June 23, 2021.

Hijab Al-Mutairi, the missing brother, said: "I came to the site where my brother was found, and I recognized him from the first sight, as he was lying on his right apartment with a scarf on, and his clothes did not change or get dirty, and his body did not decompose, may God have mercy on him, and it was surprising to everyone."

He added: “We found his money and proofs in his pocket, and it seems that he stopped on the highway 13 km after Al-Quway’iya towards Riyadh, got off the car that took him from Jeddah, and walked through the desert until he became tired and thirsty, as his death was in an open desert on the banks of the Nafud region. It is about 10 km away from the highway from Nafud in the north.
