INTERVIEW

Back of the bins.

Season 2 of the Validé series returns Monday evening on Canal +.

A long-awaited return, after the enthusiasm for the first season of this series which plunges into the world of the music industry of rap.

Validated

has accumulated more than 35 million views on MyCanal, making it the most viewed series on the platform.

A success which was just as great for the main actor, the rapper Hatik whose career took off following the series, in particular thanks to his resumption of the title of Saïan Super Crew

But, and it's no surprise to anyone who has seen season 1, Hatik is no longer playing in season two.

His character, rapper Apash, gives way to a rapper, Lalpha, played by Laëtitia Kerfa.

Changing his main character when he helped make the series a success is an ambitious gamble.

It is its creator and director, Franck Gastambide who wanted it.

"My pride is to have launched these actors, who now all have careers and agents"

"I asked myself what kind of extraordinary journey I could tell in the rap world, after season 1 where I quite logically tell the story of a young man who starts from nothing and who ends up becoming a star rap ", he specifies at the microphone of Europe 1." The course of a woman in rap is necessarily, too, not ordinary. Firstly because there are not many. And also because that they have pitfalls which are not the same. "

And it is therefore the very talented Laëtitia Kerfa who embodies this new female character: Sara when she is a saleswoman in a sports shop, Lalpha when she is on stage.

A rapper that the characters William and Brahim are trying to recruit into their new label.

This duo of friends were the faithful companions of Apash in season 1. They therefore remain in the second season, like many other secondary characters who have also made the success of the series.

Amel Bent tells about her future role in the series "Validated"

"We obviously talk a lot about Hatik. I think it's pretty historic that a little unknown guy is embarking on a series and becoming an artist nominated for the Victoires de la Musique. I'm very proud of that, and of him," rejoices Franck Gastambide. "But my pride is also all these other actors, who now all have careers and agents. How proud to tell me that this little series has changed lives!"

Franck Gastambide is serene for the launch of this season 2. It must be said that the reviews are already very good.

Not sure, however, that there will be a third season.

Or not for a long time.

Because the writing and the realization of the first two seasons took three years of the life of its creator.

He therefore wants to devote himself to cinema again in the coming months.

Season 2 of

Validé

is available Monday evening at 9:10 p.m. on Canal +, and on demand on MyCanal.
