New Caledonia is slowly declining.
After having been spared for a long time, the French archipelago located in the Pacific, west of Australia, is hit hard by the Covid.
201 people have died, according to the latest report, while less than 40% of the population is fully vaccinated.
And yet, Caledonians are called upon to decide their future in two months.

The third and final independence referendum is supposed to be held on December 12.
But the separatists of the FLNKS coalition demand the postponement of the poll.
The French government is saying "no" for the moment.
Julien Chavanne was able to reach Daniel Goa.
He is the spokesperson for the FLNKS and considers that the campaign is completely overshadowed by the health crisis.
