Recently, Nanjing City Management Bureau has provided 18 parking spaces for nearby residents to park in the evenings and weekends from Monday to Friday.
Compared with common parking spaces, "shared parking spaces" have no special features, except that they are distinguished in terms of exterior color. Blue parking spaces are printed with white fonts and numbers.
Surrounding citizens need to sign up for lottery, according to the principle of fairness, and draw lots on the spot to finally determine the users of "shared parking spaces".
It is understood that in order to vigorously promote shared parking, Nanjing issued the "Notice on Promoting the Sharing and Utilization of Parking Resources in Nanjing", requiring qualified agencies, enterprises and institutions to share 20% of the total parking spaces for external sharing. Residents park at night to ease parking difficulties.
According to the announcement, Nanjing City Management Bureau opens parking spaces in 18 office areas to the public, from 6 pm to 8 am on weekdays, and all day on weekends and national statutory holidays. The charge is RMB 150 per month. This is also the first municipal government agency in Nanjing to pilot shared parking.
At present, the districts are in the stage of finding out.
Before the end of the year, Nanjing will announce and open a number of shared parking spaces to the public.
