The trial of the assassination of Thomas Sankara opens this Monday, October 11 in Burkina Faso.

Thirty-four years after the coup d'état which cost the life of the famous revolutionary leader, 14 individuals will be tried by the military court in Ouagadougou.

But the main accused, former President Blaise Compaoré, who lives in exile in Côte d'Ivoire, will be absent.
