[Explanation] October 10 this year is the 110th anniversary of the Revolution of 1911.

Guangzhou is the source and main battlefield of the Revolution of 1911. It is also the place where Mr. Sun Yat-sen planned, organized, and staged armed uprisings against the Qing Dynasty.

On October 9, the reporter came to the Xinhai Revolution Memorial Hall in Guangzhou to learn about the history of Guangzhou and the Xinhai Revolution.

[Explanation] Zhang Changlong, an interpreter from the Exhibition Department of the 1911 Revolution Memorial Hall, told reporters that during the 1911 Revolution, the bourgeois revolutionaries headed by Sun Yat-sen had launched armed uprisings in order to overthrow the Qing Dynasty’s reactionary rule and establish a democratic republic. Three times were launched in Guangzhou, namely the Guangzhou Uprising (1895), the New Army Uprising (1910) and the Huanghuagang Uprising (1911).

In just a dozen years, there have been three consecutive armed uprisings against the Qing in a central city. This was unique among Chinese cities at the time and unprecedented in Chinese modern history.

The emergence of such a historical phenomenon is not accidental. It has quite profound social factors, and it is also related to the great importance attached to Guangzhou by the bourgeois revolutionaries headed by Sun Yat-sen.

Why is it said that Guangzhou is the birthplace of the Revolution of 1911?

The reasons are as follows. First, Guangzhou has a tradition of anti-imperialist and anti-feudal struggles in modern history, such as the anti-British struggle in Sanyuanli.

The second is ideologically, Guangzhou people are more likely to accept new ideas, because Guangzhou is a business capital of a thousand years, so ideological preparations are relatively sufficient and sufficient.

The third is material preparation. Because Guangzhou is relatively wealthy compared to the mainland. Uprisings and revolutions require funds, guns and bullets, and transportation is relatively convenient, so material preparations are relatively sufficient.

[Explanation] Although it was raining heavily that day, many citizens still came to the Memorial Hall of the Revolution of 1911 to look back at the history of the Revolution of 1911 and cherish the memory of the revolutionary martyrs.

Li Yayun, a teacher at Guangzhou Maritime College, looked at the lives of the people in the late Qing Dynasty and was deeply moved. She said that it was the revolutionary martyrs who gave their blood and even their lives to get the better life now.

It was really shocking to see a child who was so thin that only spare ribs were left, because he also had children.

Think about the current life and look at the life at that time. It is indeed that time has reached the moment of non-uprising and non-revolution (not possible). At this time, a great leader like Sun Yat-sen appeared and led such a revolution.

Remember these martyrs and cherish the memory of Mr. Sun Yat-sen.

It also inspires us to work hard in our daily work and cherish the good life now.

It is because of the revolutions of our predecessors that we have a happy life now.

[Commentary] Mr. Wu, a citizen, stopped in front of several exhibition boards. He told reporters that life is getting better and better now, and he wants to learn more about the history of the Revolution of 1911.

We are living so well now that we must not forget the contributions of the revolutionary martyrs back then. Without their struggles and sacrifices, we would not have the good life today. Therefore, we must drink water and think about the source, and we must not forget these histories.

[Explanation] Zhang Changlong has served as an instructor for more than 20 years. Whenever a tourist learns more about history from his explanation, he feels very proud. After watching the meeting to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Revolution of 1911, he is also inspired.

[Concurrent] Zhang Changlong, an interpreter of the Exhibition Department of the Memorial Hall of the Revolution of 1911

After reading it, I was very encouraged. Next, as an interpreter, I will continue to read the original text, have a deep understanding, and timely adjust my interpretation work and the educational activities developed in the future to make corresponding adjustments.

[Commentary] It is reported that the Xinhai Revolution Memorial Hall and the Taiwan Xinhai Wuchang Shouyi Comrades' Association jointly completed the "Xinhai Revolution Heroes", which records the deeds of thousands of heroes who died in the uprisings and wars related to the Xinhai Revolution to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution.

The spectrum was displayed in the form of pictures and texts (tables), and it was launched on the official website of the Memorial Hall of the Revolution of 1911 on October 8.

The reporter saw on the official website that "The Legend of the Heroes of the Revolution of 1911" is composed of three parts: "Fanju", "Revolutionary Struggle before the Republic of China", "Wuchang Uprising and the Recovery of Provinces".

For the first time, "The Legend of the Heroes of the Revolution of 1911" realized the digitization and centralized display of the roster of the heroes of the Revolution of 1911, so that thousands of heroes will not be forgotten and will be remembered forever.
