On the 9th, the province upgraded the provincial-level natural disaster relief emergency response to level III.

The Emergency Management Department of Shaanxi Province has dispatched 3 working groups to the front lines of Baoji, Weinan, Yan'an and other disaster-stricken areas to conduct disaster inspections and guide disaster relief work.

  Dali County in Shaanxi has experienced 5 consecutive rainfall processes in more than a month, with short intervals, long durations, and large precipitation. The cumulative rainfall is 681 mm, which is about 60% higher than the average for the same period in the previous years.

  On the 7th, the flow of Luohe Zhuangtou Station reached 1,560 cubic meters per second, which was the largest flow since 1999, causing the lower reaches of the Luohe River to flood its embankments.

On the 9th, due to the long-term high water level operation in the lower reaches of the Luo River, the Chaoyi production embankment in Zhaodu Town, Dali County was flooded, causing more than 18,000 people in 10 administrative villages in the area to be evacuated.

  According to incomplete statistics, as of 22:00 on the 9th, due to heavy rains and floods in the Luohe River of the Weihe River, Dali County has suffered a total of 239,000 people, 491,000 mu of farmland has been flooded, and many roads, water conservancy, power and other infrastructure facilities have been damaged.

At present, various rescue and disaster relief work is proceeding in an orderly manner.
