Affected by tropical storm "Lion Rock", Hong Kong encountered severe weather on October 9.

In Hong Kong, flooding of roads, blowouts in drains, traffic accidents on many roads, and even small flash floods occurred in many districts of Hong Kong.

Some citizens shared their experience of riding on social platforms, saying that riding a car is like riding a boat.

On the morning of the 9th, the Hong Kong Observatory issued the No. 8 Southeast Gale or Storm Signal (Typhoon Signal No. 8).

The distance between the tropical storm "Lion Rock" and Hong Kong in the early morning of the 9th was more than 560 kilometers, but under the combined influence of the northeast monsoon, the wind force in Hong Kong continued to increase.

It is reported that the No. 8 typhoon signal issued by the Hong Kong Observatory this time has set a record for the "farthest No. 8 typhoon signal" in the past 60 years.
