On October 9th, in Luzhou, Sichuan, the first 32-meter-long box girder weighing 820 tons successfully landed on the Baiyundong No. 2 Extra Large Bridge, which marked the successful erection of the first-hole box girder of the Yu-Kun section of the Beijing-Kunming High-speed Railway.

The Chongqing-Kunming section of the Beijing-Kunming high-speed rail has a total length of 699 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It leads from Chongqing West Railway Station to Kunming South Railway Station in Yunnan Province.
