The report shows that during the National Day holiday from October 1st to 7th this year, the Hubei Provincial Market Supervision Department's 12315 platform handled a total of 14,506 consumer requests. Among them, cultural tourism, entertainment and other related consumption became hot spots for complaints.

  During the National Day holiday this year, complaints about tourism, leisure and entertainment in Hubei scenic spots continued to heat up, reflecting the prosperity of the cultural tourism consumer market.

During the National Day period, the province’s 12315 platform received 33 complaints about tourism services, an increase of 83.33% year-on-year. The complaints mainly reflected the unclear notification of the fees for scenic attractions, unreasonable prices for some of the fees, promises of free and actual additional fees, and inaccurate use of the annual tourist card.   During the National Day, the Hubei Province 12315 platform received a total of 1,424 complaints about food and catering, and the number of complaints hit a record high, which was 2.11 times that of the same period last year.

There were 939 complaints related to food quality and food safety issues, accounting for 65.94%. The complaints mostly reflected the expiration, deterioration, and foreign matter issues of fresh fruits and vegetables, online snacks, online ordering, milk tea drinks, and baked goods.

  Complaints about travel and lodging remain high, and irregularities in homestays are reflected prominently.

During the National Day, the Hubei Province 12315 platform received a total of 263 complaints about accommodation services.

From the perspective of consumer complaints, the problems reflecting the temporary increase in hotel prices during the holiday period, the non-performance of the contract after online booking, and the inconsistency of the hotel’s actual staying environment with publicity are particularly prominent.

Among them, there were 22 complaints involving homestays, a year-on-year increase of 144.44%.

  At the same time, consumer enthusiasm for cultural, entertainment and sports services represented by cinema viewing in the "National Day file" has been on the rise.

During the National Day, there were 313 complaints about cultural, entertainment and sports services.

Among them, 76 complaints about screening services mainly reflected the non-exchange of movie voucher during holidays, unreasonable movie ticket prices, and disputes over children's ticket purchases.

  Up to now, consumer complaints during the National Day period have been in accordance with the territorial supervision requirements, and the Hubei 12315 work agencies at all levels have been transferred to the territorial market supervision department for verification and processing in a timely manner.
