The venue for the final will be the Olympic arena Palaolimpico.

In a press release on Eurovision's website, the event's chief executive Martin Österdahl says that Turin is "the perfect city" for the colorful singing competition:

"As we saw during the 2006 Winter Olympics, Palaolimpico exceeds all expectations of a global event on this scale.

We have been very impressed by the enthusiasm and commitment of the city of Turin, which welcomes thousands of fans in May next year. ”

The Eurovision Song Contest has been held in Italy twice before, in Rome in 1991 and Naples in 1965.

This year, the Italian group Måneskin was the winner of Eurovision.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2022 will be decided on 14 May.

The semifinals take place on 10 and 12 May, respectively.
