  According to reports, due to the combined influence of the Wei River and the north main stream of the Yellow River, the discharge of the Yellow River Tongguan Hydrological Station at 23:00 on October 5 reached 5,090 cubic meters per second, forming the third flood of the Yellow River in 2021.

At 15:20 on October 6, the Yellow River Conservancy Commission of the Ministry of Water Resources escalated and issued a yellow flood warning in the Sanmenxia reservoir area, and the flood control situation was extremely severe.

The Sanmenxia Water Conservancy Project once again sounded the clarion call for charging and fighting. According to the dispatching instructions, the Sanmenxia Reservoir will start a new round of open discharge operation from 15:00 on October 5th. The 12 bottom holes, 12 deep holes, and 2 tunnels of the hub are all opened. , To ensure that the flood channel is unblocked and the flood discharges safely.
