An 87-year-old convict on death row in a former electrician business who had been sentenced to death for murder by robbery for killing two financial company owners and robbing cash 33 years ago in Yokohama City on the 8th. He died of accidental pneumonia in Tokyo Detention House.

According to the Ministry of Justice, the person who died was Kazutoshi Takahashi, a former convict on death row (87) in the electrical engineering business.



Takahashi was sentenced to death in 1988 at the office of a financial company in Tsurumi-ku, Yokohama, for killing two people, a 65-year-old man and a 60-year-old wife, who was a 60-year-old relative, and robbed him of 12 million yen in cash. He was charged with murder by robbery and was sentenced to death in 2006.



Around May, Takahashi's convict on death row had difficulty eating on his own due to his weakness in muscles, and was subsequently diagnosed with "erroneous pneumonia" and was being treated in the ward of the Tokyo Detention House.



For a period of time, although his condition was stable, he was receiving lifesaving measures from a doctor in the detention center on the night of the 7th because his condition deteriorated, but he was confirmed dead at around 0:20 am on the 8th.
