She said that she did not expect such a turn of events that her son would fly into space.

According to her, "this is such an amazing event in life."

Valeria Shipenko added that he "said in passing" that Klim Shipenko was offered a project with a flight into space.

The director's mother noted that at first the family “somehow didn’t believe” that jy would fly into space.

“Not that there is some distrust.

No.

But he just said that here are some workouts and so on, ”she said.

Valeria Shipenko explained that her son is an "adult", and she did not discourage him from flying into space. 

“I didn’t dissuade, because if I was offered to fly into space ... I wouldn’t refuse either,” she said.

The director's mother added that she supports “any accomplishments” and believes that “you need to live interestingly, go everywhere, get involved in any projects, and so life will become full and there will be something to remember”.

On October 5, the Soyuz-2.1a rocket carrying the Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft, on board of which were the actress Yulia Peresild and the director Klim Shipenko, took off from the Vostok site of the Baikonur cosmodrome.

On the same day, they arrived at the ISS, where Peresild and Shipenko must spend 12 days to shoot the film "Challenge".
