Chanel's spring-summer 2022 ready-to-wear show has closed Paris Fashion Week. And he has done it by putting, as usual, a finishing touch to a few days in which the catwalks have launched a message of optimism, joy, eighties disco and great tops that never pass. Of course, Virginie Viard -substitute for the late Karl Lagerfeld at the head of the house- has not let go of the classics of the house: there were outfits made of tweed (with bubblegum pink and mauve as the star bet), there were camellias, belts of chains and two-color ballerinas. It has also been possible to see sailor stripes and logos, many logos, in a nod to the 80s and 90s. An extensive collection in which the triumphant black and white duo has also shone in bikinis and swimsuits that played in contrast, in shorts, pirate pants, dungarees and knitted sets. In short, that one could imagine Coco Chanel herself squatting in the stands of the Grand Palais Éphémère, built for the occasion because she was the real building site.
