On September 27, at the “Archaeological China” major project progress meeting held by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, Chinese archaeologists announced that they had found abundant, well-structured, and mature hand axes and hand axes at the Pilo site in Daocheng County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Thin bladed axe.

This is not only the most typical late Asheli cultural relic found in East Asia, but also the highest Asheli technology product found in the world.

The Pilo Site, located in Qijiapingluo Village, about 2 kilometers away from Daocheng County, has an average elevation of more than 3750 meters. It is a third-level terrace near the second tributary of the Jinsha River.

The altitude is high and the climate is cold. The undulating mountains here are bare and only low grass grows.

The site is not only dated at least 130,000 years ago, but more importantly, it is located at the eastern foot of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, with an altitude of about 3750 meters.

Since the excavation of the site, archaeologists have discovered nearly 10,000 stone products, including hand axes, proving that humans have entered from the southeastern foot of the plateau at least 130,000 years ago and gradually climbed the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, which is not suitable for human habitation.

The exquisite hand-axe and other Asheli product portfolios prove that the academic argument that "early human culture in the East lags behind the West" is pure nonsense.

Experts believe that the Pilo site is a new archaeological discovery with major academic and socio-political significance in the world, which will have an important academic influence at home and abroad.
