Anger is brewing within the Charles-Fauvet school group in Magny-le-Hongre, in Seine-et-Marne.

As reported by

La Marne

, a father was banned from access during a meeting with the teachers last Thursday.

He wanted to come in the company of a young guide dog in training that he welcomes in his home.

"Ordinance No. 2014-1090 of September 26, 2014 authorizes foster families or educators accompanied by their guide dog student to access all places open to the public [...] to allow dog education", explains the person concerned.

However, the inspector of Academy decided otherwise.

The man was notified of a refusal and was even turned away by the municipal police when he still wanted to enter the school.

All with the agreement of the town hall, which would not have been made aware of the situation until late.

The school is not open to the public

“We could not go beyond a directive of the National Education without mastering the ins and outs.

Imagine that something happened at school, indicates the mayor Véronique Flament to our colleagues.

The meeting was organized by the Academy, it masters the rules of access.

"

As for the Academy, we put forward another decree according to which the school is an establishment open to the public, but not a place open to the public.

"Guide dogs for the blind cannot be admitted there before the end of their training", therefore estimates the Academy.

The municipality promises to find an agreement with the national education services if the situation were to repeat itself.
