A nursery school in Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme) closed its doors on Monday.

For two weeks, the establishment has been infested with fleas.

“The town hall came several times, once to disinfect the inside, then to take care of the outside and so on, but nothing helped.

This morning, we were told to go home with our children and that the school was closed until further notice, ”explained a mother in

La Montagne

.

"This is a completely new situation"

“Despite the efforts of the town hall, nothing helps.

Three schools are infested with fleas in France, including ours.

This is a completely new situation.

Every evening, we have to inspect our things so as not to bring home fleas.

It's getting complicated, ”said the kindergarten teaching team.

This Tuesday morning, the 167 schoolchildren of this nursery school found their teachers but not their school.

A dozen classes have indeed found refuge in another school, spared by this invasion of fleas.

"We are fortunate to have a strong public service and very responsive teams," said Cécile Audet, education assistant for the city of Clermont-Ferrand.
