  According to the Huzhong District Meteorological Department, the snowfall was mainly concentrated on the mountains with an altitude of nearly 1,000 meters and lasted for nearly 3 hours. The thickness of the snow on the ground was about 2 cm.

  Huzhong, located on the top of Xing'an Mountains, is known as the hometown of Yansong, the hometown of sambal and black fungus in China.

The annual average temperature is -4.3℃, the historical lowest temperature is -53.2℃, the frost-free period is only more than 80 days, and the weather around -40℃ can reach more than 40 days each year, hence the name "China's coldest town".
