The Chinese social network TikTok, the most used by adolescents in the world, reaches one billion active users, according to its own figures.
The application thus achieves a very good performance, with a 45% increase in its number of users in one year, in particular thanks to confinements.

TikTok exceeds the symbolic threshold of one billion active users worldwide, i.e. the number of users who connect to the social network at least once a month.
This number has thus increased by 45% in one year.
The most widely used app by teenagers around the world reaches this billion figure in just four years of existence.

The application can in particular say thank you to the successive confinements which have largely contributed to its growth.

Still far from the performance of its competitor YouTube
Europe, the United States, Southeast Asia and Brazil represent the biggest markets for this Chinese social network based on the publication and sharing of short videos, mainly of humor and dance. .
But the TikTok app still has a long way to go to try to catch up with the YouTube platform, which it would like to compete with.
