The book was launched as an inside description of how "a media drive mercilessly broke down Benny Fredriksson".

The book and Lotta Fristorp are now reported to the police for press freedom violations through slander or defamation of the theater freelancer August Lindmark who appears in the book.

- I have been singled out as responsible for something I have not been involved in at all, he says to Kulturnyheterna.

In the book, he is described as "an important player" in the media reporting during the autumn that preceded Benny Fredriksson's suicide.

"There may be a connection between August Lindmark and statements in Aftonbladet," writes Fristorp, who in the book speculates that Lindmark would have been one of the newspaper's sources.

Will report to JK

Aftonbladet's article about Benny Fredriksson was blamed in the press opinion committee for "not having sufficient evidence for a number of accusations and has published deeply offensive and derogatory opinions about him which it is very difficult to defend against".

Furthermore, Fristorp writes that it is not an "unlikely guess" that August Lindmark is a link between Aftonbladet and "the people who form the basis of the newspaper's question."

August Lindmark has submitted a police report and will also report the book directly to the Chancellor of Justice, JK, who is the one who decides on prosecution regarding press freedom violations.

- She writes a direct connection between Aftonbladet's publication and Benny's death.

That publication was made by PON and she comments on it many times in critical terms and points me out as responsible for it, he says.

Has written critical posts on Facebook

August Lindmark has written in critical terms about Benny Fredriksson on Facebook and collected testimonials from employees.

But he says that he has had nothing to do with Aftonbladet's publication and that he has written posts that have been critical of several people.

Lotta Fristorp's publisher Thomas Olsson responds via email to Kulturnyheterna.

"Benny the train, death is about the connection between social media and traditional media in the autumn of 2017. Therefore, the book reproduces August Lindmark's posts, which by the way can still be read on his open Facebook page," he writes, and continues.

"The book does not claim that Lindmark is the source of Aftonbladet's publications, but since he writes 'I can convey stories to people involved in Aftonbladet's publication', the book means that it is not an unlikely guess that there is a connection."

Kulturnyheterna has applied for Lotta Fristorp.
