In the early morning of September 27, a large truck caught fire in the Damao Tunnel on the Hainan East Line from Lingshui to Sanya. The driver insisted on driving the vehicle out of the tunnel to gain favorable space for firefighters.

The truck was driving in the tunnel when it caught fire, and the fire was on tires.
When the other drivers in the tunnel saw the fireworks, they honked their horns, and Master Zhang, the truck driver, discovered the fire.
Master Zhang said that because he was worried that parking in the tunnel would have a greater impact, he insisted on driving the car out of the tunnel before putting it out, and he immediately called the police for help.
The Damao Tunnel is more than 1,000 meters long and is one of the main passages in and out of Sanya. If a vehicle catches fire and is blocked in the tunnel, it is extremely unfavorable for fighting and causing unpredictable consequences.
According to the situation at the scene, fire and rescue personnel immediately used water guns to extinguish the fire.
After 20 minutes of fighting, the open flame was successfully extinguished.
No one was trapped or injured in the incident.
