Ishigaki City, Okinawa Prefecture, started operating its own "vaccine passport" on the 28th, hoping to balance infection control and social activities as soon as possible.

The "Vaccine Passport" originally introduced by Ishigaki City allows citizens who have completed two vaccinations to use their smartphones at restaurants in the city to show their vaccination records and receive discounts and benefits.

In Ishigaki City, about 70% of the residents have completed the second vaccination, and the operation started on the 28th with the aim of balancing infection control and social activities as soon as possible.

On the 28th, officials from restaurants participating in the system visited the window of the city hall, submitted documents, and received stickers to be attached to the store.

Then, the restaurant that received the sticker immediately put it on the entrance of the store and prepared a sign to inform them that the "vaccine passport" could be used.

This store is closed this month due to the spread of infection, but the store will be opened from the 1st of next month when the state of emergency is lifted, and those who present their "vaccine passport" will be provided with a free drink. I am doing it.

Yurina Higa, the person in charge of the store, said, "I want the staff to be careful about infection control and to have customers come to the store safely with the cooperation of customers."
