The gas bill will be higher from next month.
The price of gas will experience an increase of 12.6% of the regulated tariff from October 1, in the wake of the rise in market prices, the regulator announced on Monday.
Like other energies, the price of gas in France is directly correlated with world production.
"This development is the result of the historic rise in gas prices on the world market which has repercussions on the supply costs of the gas supplier Engie", justified the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE).
