The Kofu Local Meteorological Observatory has announced that it will review the "first snowfall" of Mt. Fuji announced on the 7th of this month because it "does not meet the standards" after that, and announced the first snowfall again on the 26th.

The first snowfall on Mt. Fuji was observed 6 days earlier than normal and 2 days earlier than last year.

The first snowfall on Mt. Fuji will be announced by staff members visually confirming the snow cover on the mountain from the Kofu Local Meteorological Observatory in Kofu City.



The first snowfall of this year was announced once on the 7th of this month, but on the 22nd of this month, it will be reviewed as "the highest temperature of this year was observed near the mountaintop after the announcement and it no longer meets the standard". It was decided.



And on the 26th, the Meteorological Observatory announced the first snowfall again after 4 pm, saying that it was confirmed that snow was piled up near the summit.

Regarding the review of the first snowfall, the Meteorological Observatory says, "We have never reviewed the first snowfall since 2009, but there is no record of whether or not it was in the past."
