Two men were seriously injured in a car accident in Berlin on Sunday night.
According to previous investigations, a man was driving in the Charlottenburg district on the city motorway towards Wedding when he lost control of the vehicle, hit a mobile guardrail, took off and fell several meters next to the tracks of the Westend S-Bahn station, the police said.
The car ended up on the roof.
According to witnesses, two men were able to free themselves from the wreck, but a youngster was trapped.
Firefighters would have freed him.
He had to be taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A second inmate was also injured and had to go to the clinic.
The driver fled on foot, it said.
The police looked for him in a helicopter but did not find him.
She is now investigating his identity and the course of the accident.
