Overfishing, aquaculture, mass tourism, .. to preserve marine life, many states have set up marine protected areas but, according to scientists, just under half are really effective.

While all countries are preparing to negotiate the goal of protecting at least 30% of continental and oceanic surfaces to preserve biodiversity, 43 marine and social scientists from 39 research institutions on six continents have just published, in Science, 

the first guide to Marine Protected Areas.
