After four men escaped from a closed psychiatric hospital in Weinsberg near Heilbronn, the police arrested one of the fugitives.
The police said on Friday that he was arrested on Thursday evening after concrete evidence of the whereabouts.
The arrested person is said to be a 37-year-old.
The four men managed to escape from the closed ward of the hospital on Wednesday evening.
The police are currently evaluating the new findings and keeping the pressure up, it said.
The police did not provide any further information for "tactical reasons".
The search for the other fugitives continues at high pressure.
