Su Miaoling, deputy director of the Xiamen Municipal Health Commission, said in response to a reporter from China News Agency about the treatment of local confirmed cases, as of 24:00 on September 22, there are currently 211 confirmed cases. Among the cases, there were 1 case of critical type, 7 cases of severe type, 147 cases of normal type, and 56 cases of light type.
Among them, critically ill patients are being actively treated and observed by ICU, using active methods such as Chinese medicine, prone position, and non-invasive ventilation.
The other confirmed patients are in stable condition.
At present, 4 of the confirmed cases in Xiamen have been negative for 2 nucleic acid tests. It is planned to complete the lung CT reexamination on the morning of the 24th to assess whether they meet the discharge standards. If they can be discharged, they will be transferred to Xiang'an Hospital for post-discharge rehabilitation.
Su Miaoling said that the Xinglin Branch of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University is a designated hospital for the new coronary pneumonia epidemic in Xiamen. It can treat a total of 392 confirmed patients (imported and local).
When the designated hospital beds reached 50%, the reserve hospital began to be rebuilt.
The designated reserve hospital in Xiamen is Xiang'an Hospital affiliated to Xiamen University.
At present, Xiamen has started the reconstruction of Xiang'an Hospital, and has completed the reconstruction of 4 wards, which can provide 200 ordinary beds and 15 ICU beds.
