In Kiev, another high-profile political and criminal scandal, of which there have already been many over the three decades of independence of this restless country. The closest aide (and, according to rumors, also a "wallet") of President Zelensky, Sergei Shefir, became the target of an assassination attempt. Who and why made this attempt - about this we can only guess. But for what far-reaching conclusions a trip to a fortune-teller is not required. The attempt on the life of the informal "treasurer" of the head of state for a second opened the secret door to the backstage of Ukrainian politics.

I have long been an ardent supporter of the following thesis: not only art skillfully imitates life - sometimes life imitates art with no less skill. Hearing about the attempted murder (or staged murder attempt) of the right hand of the President of Ukraine, I immediately began to frantically recall the plot moves of the Servant of the People series. And, you know, my memory did not deceive me. Second season, 22nd episode. Evil and insidious oligarchs seem to be planning to kill the "people's president" Vasily Petrovich Goloborodko, who voluntarily resigned. 23rd series. The villains' plans are shattered into small pieces. The most evil and most insidious of the above evil and insidious oligarchs, Rustem Ashotovich Mamatov, is imprisoned on charges of plotting an assassination attempt.

How simple they have there in their invented cinematic universe! An oligarch is an oligarch, a people's president is a people's president, and no matter how evil financial tycoons try to mislead the people, the truth triumphs in the end. But in the political universe that exists in Ukraine, everything is much less unambiguous. The complete twin of President Goloborodko is, in a sense, his complete moral antipode. No, he is also fighting the oligarchs (or pretending to be fighting). But what is the purpose of this struggle? It is not at all that jelly rivers with milk shores will finally appear in Ukraine. The goal is to become an "oligarch" who stands above the oligarchs.

Have I completely confused you with my cinematic allusions? This is because in the early stages of Vladimir Zelensky's presidential career, I, frankly, got a little confused myself. After I was convinced that the current president of Ukraine had no intention of realizing his grandiose election promises, I began to perceive Zelensky as a pure PR project, an actor, playing the role of president to the best of his ability in this area. I confess I underestimated Vladimir Alexandrovich!

He still has an instinct for power.

Another thing is that he demonstrates it not always and everywhere.

To rebuff the unbridled nationalist radicals?

What are you, this is not for me!

And in general, there is no need to quarrel me with the best people of the country of the victorious "Maidan" - the real patriots of Ukraine!

Strictly point out to the Americans that the system of external control of Ukraine that they have built should be immediately dismantled?

Why are you bothering me with your provocative and treacherous proposals?

You, my friend, seem to have conceived a real high treason?

Don't drag me into this!

Do these behaviors not resemble the behavior of a person who has an instinct for power? The fact is that in the case of Zelensky, the notorious instinct must be sought in the right (or, rather, the wrong) place. Subservience to militant xenophobes and the "colonial metropolis" is part of informal political bargaining for the current president of Ukraine. They say, I am appeasing you in every possible way, and you look the other way in response, while I try to take control of the people who control all the significant financial flows in the country - the oligarchs.

Would President Goloborodko rather drink poison than go for something like that? Perhaps. But there is no President Goloborodko in our reality. It only has President Zelensky, who does just that. Of course, all this is carefully camouflaged by rhetoric about the need to fight the oligarchic form of government as a phenomenon. But, despite all the efforts, this camouflage is torn at the edges. It is impossible to hide the fact that with the help of such a "new word in world jurisprudence" as "sanctions of the National Security and Defense Council" Zelensky has built a system of presidential dictatorship in Ukraine.

Technically, it is probably more correct to speak of the "dictatorship of the NSDC" - a collective body, which includes more than two dozen officials, including the president of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. But this "technique" should be scrapped. In terms of determining those who are destined to get on the "proscription lists" of President Zelensky, most members of the NSDC, as is well known in the political circles of Kiev, play the role of extras. Everything is determined by the NSDC apparatus, which is subordinate to President Goloborodko's double from our reality.

How exactly the attempt on the "wallet" of President Zelensky is connected with the above-described system of power in Ukraine will become clear later.

But I don't doubt for a second that there is such a connection.

Not all "predatory animals in the Ukrainian financial and political jungle" like the prospect of surrendering without a fight to the mercy of our dear Vladimir Alexandrovich.

Here they are in such a peculiar form and sent him a "postcard from the forest."

Have you admired the backstage of Ukrainian politics?

That's it, the door has slammed - I suspect, however, that not very long.
