A total of 239 high school graduates, against 591 last year, are still unassigned at the end of the Parcoursup procedure, the Ministry of Higher Education said on Wednesday.

“The committees for access to higher education (CAES) were able to use the experience acquired to take over baccalaureate holders more quickly this year: at the end of the procedure, 239 high school students, the vast majority of vocational high school students , continue to be supported by the CAES ”, writes the ministry in a press release.

Last year, 591 high school graduates were left behind after Parcoursup.

This year, the procedure concerned 931,000 candidates who were able to apply via the platform to more than 19,500 training courses offering diplomas recognized by the State, including more than 6,000 in apprenticeship. “In total, 590,000 high school graduates received at least one admission proposal, or 93% of them, which is a higher rate than last year (92.4%). This progression concerns all baccalaureate holders, regardless of the series concerned (general, technological and professional) ”, continues the ministry.

For students looking for a reorientation, “the results also show a higher proposal rate than 2020, despite the greater number of registrants this year on Parcoursup (82.8% or 1.5 additional points compared to 2020) ”, he emphasizes.

The CAES "remain mobilized with the universities and territorial actors, partners of the rectorships within the framework of the # 1jeune1solution plan until the end of October to offer them an adapted solution", assures the ministry which specifies that "a more complete assessment of the 2021 session will be published soon ”.
