Nara Prefecture and Nara City announced on the 22nd that it was confirmed that 57 new people were infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture.
The prefecture also announced that a man in his 70s in Tenri, where the infection had been confirmed, had died.
A total of 15,210 people were confirmed infected in the prefecture, and 146 people died.
