The Tunisian president spoke on Monday evening, September 20, in Sidi Bouzid, nearly two months after the introduction of exceptional measures, on July 25.

Kaïs Saïed maintains them, for an indefinite period.

The head of state announced that a new head of government will be appointed, and that a new electoral code will be put in place soon.

However, no deadline has been specified.
