Recently, in the Gahai Lake in Luqu County, Gannan Prefecture, Gansu Province, the staff of the Gahai Conservation Station of the Nature Reserve Management Center observed a "cute" unknown species during routine monitoring, which was later confirmed to be a national Takin is a first-class protected animal.

Takins are huge in size and peculiar in appearance, resembling cattle and sheep and horses, commonly known as "six differences".

The takin in the video leisurely "walks" in the lake, sometimes bowing their heads to graze, sometimes looking into the distance in a daze, very cute.

It is understood that the number of takin is sparse, with only a few thousand in China, mainly distributed in the southwest and northwest regions of China, and it is relatively rare to appear around Gahai Lake.
