Animal fanatic Malte was friends with the bartender Joker, played by Johannes Brost, and a regular guest on the ferry Freja.

His fondness for various exotic animals often frightened the staff on board.

Anders Larsson was born in Västervik in 1952 and graduated from the State Stage School in Gothenburg in 1979. He worked as an actor, writer and playwright and was active at Malmö City Theater and Turku Swedish Theater.
