The 23rd edition of the La Rochelle TV Fiction Festival has closed its doors.

The jury, chaired by Guillaume de Tonquédec, awarded 15 prizes on Saturday, among the 42 works in official competition, during a closing ceremony presented by actor and humorist Mathieu Madénian.

The jury awarded the prize for best TV movie to

The Child of Person

of France Televisions, with Isabelle Carré.

It traces the story of Lyes, a child torn from his foster mother who welcomed him as a baby.

The child finds himself delivered to the violence of the homes.

The prize for the best 52-minute series was awarded to

Mon ange

de TF1, worn by Muriel Robin and Marilou Berry, which tells the story of a mother's fight to find her daughter who disappeared several years ago.

Season 2 of

Stalk

, which will soon be available on France.tv Slash, on the world of hacking, was distinguished as the best 26-minute series.

“Season 2 is even better than Season 1,” commented the jury.

The prize for best comedy goes to

La vengeance au triple gallop

from Canal +, the hilarious parody of the soap

La Vengeance aux 2 visages

by Alex Lutz and Arthur Sanigou, with Audrey Lamy, Leïla Bekhti, Marion Cotillard, Guillaume Gallienne to name one than them.

The prize for best European fiction went to

You don't die between friends

, a German adaptation of an Israeli black comedy.

Actress Marie Gillain won the prize for best female interpretation in

A la folie

, broadcast on M6, and that for best male interpretation went to Vincent Deniard for

What are we going to do with Jacques?

on Arte.

After a 2020 edition relocated to Paris due to the health crisis, the great meeting place for fans of fiction and professionals has returned to the city of La Rochelle.

On the sidelines of the competition, the festival offered anticipated previews, such as the big cartridge of TF1, A French Affair on the Grégory Affair or Elementary Particles (France Télévisions), an adaptation of the eponymous novel by Michel Houellebecq.
