China News Service, Guiyang, September 18 (Reporter Pu Wensi) The reporter learned from the Propaganda Department of the Liupanshui Municipal Committee of Guizhou Province on the evening of the 18th that at 16:50 on the 18th, a passenger ship rollover accident occurred in the town of Liuzhi Special Economic Zone in Liupanshui City.
After preliminary verification, as of 21:00 on the 18th, 35 people had been searched and rescued ashore, 31 of whom were not in danger of life, and 4 had been sent to hospital for treatment.
The ship is a type 8015 passenger ship of Xiling Shipping Company, with 40 people on board. The actual number of people on board is still being verified. On-site search and rescue is underway.
After the accident, relevant leaders and department heads of Liupanshui City, Liuzhi Special Zone Party Committee, government officials, and professional search and rescue teams rushed to the scene to carry out rescue operations as soon as possible.
At present, the cause of the accident is under further investigation.
