On the afternoon of September 17, the Xiamen Municipal Government held a press conference. Wang Tingliang, Deputy Secretary-General of the Xiamen Municipal Government, reported the latest situation of the city’s epidemic situation.
As of 24:00 on September 16, Xiamen had reported a total of 84 confirmed cases (51 cases of normal type and 33 cases of light type).
The addresses of the cases were distributed in 4 cases in Siming District, 1 case in Huli District, 4 cases in Haicang District, and 75 cases in Tongan District.
All confirmed cases were diagnosed and treated in isolation in designated hospitals. The current condition is stable and there are no severe cases.
As of 24:00 on September 16, Xiamen City had investigated and determined a total of 2,230 close contacts and 2,754 close contacts.
The first round of nucleic acid testing for all employees in Xiamen has been completed.
A total of 29 samples of 10 mixed 1 positive samples were detected, including 1 sample from Siming District, 1 sample from Huli District, and 27 samples from Tong'an District.
Among them, 17 have been confirmed cases, and other positive samples are being reviewed.
Currently, Xiamen City has designated 2 high-risk areas and 5 medium-risk areas.
The Xiamen Headquarters has decided to start the second round of full-staff nucleic acid testing, which will be carried out in different regions.
