More than 100 young people have put together a recommendation that policies should reflect the voices of future generations affected by climate change.

We are demanding that regulations be established to break away from the mass production and mass consumption society.

The policy proposals were compiled by the "Japanese Climate Youth Conference," which is made up of high school students, university students, and young adults, and a total of 108 people have been discussing for more than two months.

The recommendations released on the 17th point out that the greenhouse gases emitted so far will seriously damage future generations of climate change, and argue that the opinions of young people should be reflected in the policy.

On top of that, we are calling for a break from the mass-produced and mass-consumed society, such as by regulating advertisements that fuel excessive consumption and by encouraging the country to maintain the production capacity of industry at an appropriate scale.

In addition, the national and local governments can formulate plans to promote the use of bicycles, raise the tax rate according to carbon dioxide emissions to more than 30 times the current rate by 2030, and regenerate part of the tax revenue. A total of 70 policies are included, such as the spread of energy and the use of employment support.

One of the members, Teppei Tominaga, a college student, said, "To prevent climate change, it is necessary to change the way society is. Not only do we buy eco-friendly products with eco-bags, but we also speak to politics. I want to call on the importance of raising it. "
