Typhoon Chantu was the closest to the Jeju area.

It came close to the sea about 60 km south-southeast of Seogwipo, and it is currently heading north at a speed of 21 km/h.

In Jeju, where the typhoon is closest, it is raining more than 30 mm per hour, and heavy rain is also falling in Yeongdong, North Chungcheong Province due to the influence of rain clouds that developed in front of the typhoon.

Typhoon warnings have been issued for the southern seas and Jeju, and some Jeollanam-do and Gyeongnam regions, so you should be extra careful about safety accidents at sea, as there are some places where the waves rise up to 8m high.

Today, heavy rain of 150mm or more is expected in Jeju and 120mm or more on the coast of Gyeongnam.

There seems to be strong winds from Jeju and the southern regions here, so you need to make sure that there are no items that will blow off.

Most of this rain will end in the afternoon.

On the weekend, the rain will stop and there will be a lot of clouds across the country, so please pay attention only to the wide temperature difference between the days.
