[Explanation] "Go!" With an order from the trainer, a police dog immediately began to act. After overcoming various disturbances, it quickly found the "drug" in the vehicle and completed the investigation game.

From September 14th to 15th, China's National Immigration Management Agency's first police dog combat competition kicked off at the Harbin Police Dog Training Base of Heilongjiang Border Inspection Station.

27 police dogs from 9 teams from 9 provinces including Yunnan, Xinjiang and Heilongjiang began to compete for two days.

[Explanation] The Harbin Police Dog Training Base, established in 1980, is more than 20 kilometers away from the Bingcheng Harbin city and covers an area of about 250,000 square meters. It is currently the largest police dog training base in China.

[Explanation] This police dog actual combat contest is the first activity carried out by the national immigration management agency. It is large-scale, comprehensive, and high-level. It includes obedience, patrol alert, explosives, drug detection and other traditional events. Incorporated into the actual combat bonus points project, covering many aspects of police dog technical work, it is a comprehensive comprehensive test of the basic ability and actual combat application level of police dogs at each border inspection station.

[Explanation] It is understood that in the investigation and pursuit of certain cases, strictly trained police dogs can often play a very important role in handling cases through olfactory search and tracking.

When inspecting a car like us, the inspector finds the key car, (if) the inspector does not find the drug, then we will arrange for us to send a police dog to search for it. If there is a suspicious point, we will dismantle it. Answer, I have participated in several (searches) before. (Drugs) were hidden in the rear tires. Police dogs were also found out. Also, 41 kilograms were found in the water tank.

[Explanation] The reporter saw that the participating police dogs included the mighty and brave German Shepherd, the agile and aggressive Malinois, Kunming dogs, and the petite and cute Springer Spaniel. Different dog breeds are available in actual combat. Their respective strengths.

They followed the trainer closely, with piercing eyes, and they watched unfamiliar faces on the field vigilantly while waiting for instructions.

[Explanation] The trainer told reporters that although the training is usually very hard, this competition is a big test, and it will inevitably be a little nervous.

The unfamiliar environment and the inadaptability to the regional climate, the police dog is also sensitive to the trainer’s nervousness. Before the game, some of the trainers took out the ball that the police dog likes, played with it, and patted the police dog intimately. He said a few whispers on his back to ease the tension between himself and the police dog. After the game, no matter what the result is, he will also give encouragement to the dog.

[Explanation] The relationship between a police dog and a trainer is like a comrade at work and a life partner. In the day-to-day training, the trainer and the police dog have already reached the state of "human and dog unity".

First of all, through the efforts of this period of time, it is also to improve myself, and also to test the improvement of my dog's ability during this period of time, and the other is to test the cooperation between me and the dog.

Because when you are on the field, the human and the dog are one. You have a small movement or there is any change in your mental or voice. The dog's perception is very large. It may make a mistake in a certain movement. This is a test. The unity of man and dog (the tacit understanding).

If this competition can achieve results, not only the honor of the trainer, but also the honor of the dog, I will be very proud.

[Explanation] According to the relevant person in charge of the Harbin Police Dog Training Base, this contest is closely aligned with the actual control of border ports. It aims to explore the use of police dogs to effectively control suspects. Technical means such as equipment and intelligence information are fully combined to improve the endurance of searching police dogs and enhance the practical application level of police dogs participating in various tasks.
