The charges that have followed him for 40 years have finally caught up with him.

Model agent Jean-Luc Brunel was indicted on June 29 for a second rape of a minor over 15 years old,

A rebound that comes after a tortuous investigation by the Central Office for the Repression of Violence against Persons (OCRVP), opened in France after the suicide of Jeffrey Epstein in August 2019.

The death of the American pedophile, found hanged in his New York cell two years ago, has indeed caused a shock wave on both sides of the Atlantic. In France, a "case in the case" quickly erupted, with an investigation centered on Jean-Luc Brunel, a famous agent of models.

Last December, the one who is suspected of having played the touts for Jeffrey Epstein was arrested at Charles de Gaulle airport, on his way to Dakar.

He was then indicted for "rape of a minor over 15 years old" and placed under the status of assisted witness for the facts of "trafficking in human beings aggravated to the prejudice of minor victims for the purpose of sexual exploitation" after a complaint filed by Virginia Giuffre.

The one who claims to have been a “sex slave” to Jeffrey Epstein maintains that the latter delivered her to several men, including Prince Andrew and Jean-Luc Brunel.

Titanic work of French investigators

According to our information, the investigation of the OCRVP made it possible to bring out a dozen accusations of sexual assault against Jean-Luc Brunel. “We worked a lot on this file. We sent emails to all the models of the agency, heard an astronomical number of people, ”says a source close to the investigation.

To the great frustration of the investigators, most of the facts denounced date back to the 1980s and 1990s and therefore fall within the scope of the statute of limitations. But last June, a former foreign model was heard by the examining magistrate. According to our information, she claims to have been raped at the Parisian home of Jean-Luc Brunel in the early 2000s, when she was only 15 years old. After going out to a club, she told investigators that she had a black hole and woke up while Jean-Luc Brunel was raping her. Charges credible enough for the investigating judge to decide to indict Jean-Luc Brunel ten days later.

Aged 75, the former scout denies en bloc from the start.

"Our client has always firmly affirmed that he has never abused any woman,"

his lawyers, My Mathias Chichportich and Marianne Abgrall,

replied to

20 Minutes

at the

end of August, about another accusation.

They then denounced "the media-judicial lynching suffered by Jean-Luc Brunel since the suicide of Jeffrey Epstein".
