  • Justice The TSJ of Galicia denies the use of the Covid certificate in the hospitality industry

The Supreme Court has authorized the

obligation to display the covid passport

in leisure and restaurant establishments in Galicia, a measure agreed by the Xunta last August, but which was not endorsed by the Superior Court of Justice of the community.

The fourth section of the contentious court of the high court has now

upheld

the

appeal of the Government of Alberto Núñez Feijóo

against said order of the regional court, which rejected this obligation, considering that the measure is suitable, necessary and proportionate.

The magistrates estimate that "the benefit", "with respect to the significant reduction of infections, is much higher than the sacrifice involved in the requirement to present the documentation for access to the premises", and they do not see another "that is more adequate to safeguard the life and health of citizens, in that type of premises ".
