Chinanews client, Beijing, September 14th (Reporter Song Yusheng) Even if the sound is inaccurate, can he win the first prize of the string competition?

Recently, the results of the 7th International String Competition in Shenzhen have been controversial on the Internet and have aroused concern.

The parents of some contestants publicly questioned the results of the competition online and stated that the first prize winners of the children's group D (9-year-old group) of the competition "intonation are very problematic."

However, since then, there have been voices that the parent’s publicly posted video on social media contained “malicious editing”.

  Who is telling the truth?

The reporter conducted an investigation and interview.

"We have already reported this to the police in Shenzhen." The staff of the competition organizer said this in an interview with a reporter from Chinanews.com on September 14.

The staff member said that the organizer of this competition is the Cultural and Art Training Industry Association of Futian District, Shenzhen.

The reporter also noticed that the relevant event notifications and results were all announced on the Association's WeChat public account "Art Education Online".

According to the contents announced therein, at the end of July, the 2021 Shenzhen 7th International String Competition will be held.

On August 2, the "2021 Shenzhen 7th International String Competition Winners List" and the scoring criteria were announced, and then on August 25 and August 30, the video of the first prize contestants in different categories was displayed.

In the video of the solo category contestants broadcast on August 25, the first prize winner of the children's D group that caused the controversy appeared.

It was also on August 25 that the parents of the children's group D contestants began to publicly question the results of the competition on social media.

According to the content posted on his social media, the parent believes that although his child is not at the top level, but "the baby who won the first prize and the highest score of 91 points" "how to listen and how to appreciate it".

The parent also stated that the child's instructor who won the first prize is the "general founder of the competition."

The reporter noticed that in the contestant broadcast information published by "Art Education Online", the instructor of the first prize winner of the children's D group is Gao Lu; at the same time, Gao Lu also serves as the artistic director of the competition.

As the time entered September, the aforementioned parents who questioned the results of the game sent out a video of the game through social media, and believed that the "most water champion" was selected for the game, and "the tune went to grandma's house".

Since then, the parent has repeatedly spoken out on the matter through social media and emphasized that she recognized her child's score and did not expect her child to win the first prize, but still questioned the score of the first prize winner.

However, is the 9-year-old champion really out of tune so severely?

Are the judges biased?

The reporter noticed that in the more than 5 minutes of video released by the competition, some of the pitches were inaccurate, but not all of them.

The staff of the competition organizer told reporters that in order to make the competition more fair and just, all the five judges were not from Shenzhen, but were invited from cities other than Shenzhen and from different cities.

Some come from well-known domestic music colleges, some are foreign performers, and some work in relevant associations.

In addition, there is a special team responsible for scoring at the competition site, "there is no player information on the score sheet, including names."

This staff member also confirmed to reporters that Gao Lu, mentioned by the parents mentioned above, did indeed serve as the artistic director of the competition, but his work was affairs-oriented and did not participate in scoring.

"There was no communication between the five teachers who were rated on the spot, because they were separated from each other and couldn't communicate, let alone the art director."

In response to reports that the video exposed by the parent was "maliciously edited and processed," the staff believed that the parent "magnified the shortcomings of others" by "splicing" the video.

The reporter also noticed that the parent did intercept the "out of tune" part of the video, but did not perform further processing.

This has also been confirmed by the staff of the competition organizer.

However, the staff member believes that this parent's move is a personal attack on other players, an attack on the competition, the art director, and the judges, "the most important thing is to hurt the child."

Therefore, they chose to call the police.

Out of trust in the judges, the event organizers told reporters more than once that they would not modify the final result for this reason.

It is worth noting that on the evening of the 14th, the parent reiterated her point of view through social media again, saying that he had encountered "same verbal attacks" on the Internet.

So far, the Shenzhen police have not made a public explanation on this matter.
