, Monday on Cnews, Pascal Praud argued that "the health pass means that the epidemic has stopped in France, while in Germany, in Switzerland, it continues".

  • If the epidemic is on the decline in France, according to the latest bulletin from Public Health France, the country however deplores 560 more deaths from Covid-19 than Germany over the period covered by this bulletin.

In the middle of the program devoted to Eric Zemmour and his departure from CNews, Pascal Praud "opened a parenthesis" which surprised viewers.

The host of

L'Heure des pros

embarked on Monday in the defense of the health pass.

"The health pass means that the epidemic has stopped in France, while in Germany, in Switzerland, it continues," he said in

.

Why ?

Because we put in restaurants people who are vaccinated and who no longer transmit the virus and the epidemic is weakening in France.

[…] I realize that in Germany, the epidemic is stronger than at home.

We are the European country that is doing the best because of this.

FAKE OFF

The indicators for France are actually down, according to the latest report from Public Health France, which covers the period from August 30 to September 5.

The facility recorded about 28,400 fewer confirmed cases than in the last week of August, as well as a 7% drop in deaths and 20% in hospitalizations.

Do these encouraging data make France “the European country that is doing the best”?

France deplores, for this period, 560 more deaths than Germany, a country yet populated by 16 million inhabitants more than the Hexagon, according to data from the American University Johns Hopkins, taken up by Covid Tracker.

Germany also has nearly 50% fewer hospital patients in intensive care than France.

Compared to the population, Switzerland also records fewer deaths than France, but has about the same number of patients hospitalized in intensive care because of Covid-19.

The vaccination rate in Switzerland is lower than in France.

The two countries have however just converted to the health pass to fight against Covid-19: the Swiss federal government has just announced that a “Covid certificate” would now be necessary to enter restaurants, cultural places and laws and protests inside.

This cousin of the health pass has been in effect since Monday and is limited to January 24 of next year.

In Germany, the “3G rule” has been in effect since 23 August.

Nothing to do here with a network for smartphones, it is, again, a version of the health pass.

Beyond the threshold of 35 infections per 100,000 inhabitants, only people vaccinated or having a recent test (less than 24 hours for an antigen, 48 hours for a PCR test) have the right to access certain places, such as restaurants , gyms, but also to visit a loved one in a hospital.

The Länder have the power to revoke these restrictions when the seven-day incidence rate remains below this threshold of 35 infections per 100,000 inhabitants.

Our neighbors also require the presentation of a health pass for all travelers over the age of twelve entering the country, with the exception of border workers.
