[Explanation] On the morning of September 13, this year's No. 14 typhoon "Sandu" (strong typhoon) began to affect Shanghai.

Severe winds and rains struck, more than 80% of the flights at the two major airports in Shanghai were cancelled, and many high-speed rail lines in the Yangtze River Delta were suspended.

  At 6 o'clock on September 13, the center of Typhoon Sundu was about 300 kilometers away from Shanghai.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the center of the "Sandu" typhoon will pass or land in eastern Shanghai from the evening to night of September 13.

  This year's No. 14 typhoon "Santo" is still at the level of a strong typhoon.

It is expected that this "Sun Du" will move to the west at a speed of 15 to 20 kilometers per hour, and the intensity will slowly weaken.

It may pass through the Zhoushan Islands around noon today. It will pass or land on the eastern coast of Shanghai from the evening to the night. When landing or passing by, the wind may reach 12-13, which is a typhoon.

The impact should be from the 13th to the 15th (September), and Shanghai will be severely affected by the wind and rain caused by Typhoon Sundo.  

  [Explanation] Starting at 18:00 on September 12, the Shanghai typhoon yellow warning signal, thunder and lightning yellow warning signal, and rainstorm blue warning signal have been high.

The Shanghai Airport Group stated that due to the impact of Typhoon Sundo, the traffic capacity of Shanghai Pudong Airport and Hongqiao Airport will be significantly reduced from 0:00 on September 13, and more than 80% of inbound and outbound flights will be reduced and cancelled.

  Also affected by the typhoon, many railways in the Yangtze River Delta were shut down, and heavy winds and rains also affected the traffic in Shanghai.

Since the start of operation on September 13, the Shanghai Metro Line 2 East Extension, Line 5, Line 16, Pujiang Line, and Maglev Line have all been suspended.

  The whole city of Shanghai is making every effort to investigate hidden dangers, strengthening inspections of key areas, key locations, key facilities, key enterprises, etc., and continuing to check for omissions and fill vacancies.

It is understood that as of 6 o'clock in the morning on September 13, the city has invested a total of 32,000 people to carry out inspections and inspections.
