On the morning of the 12th, a Russian aircraft invaded Japan's airspace twice over Cape Shiretoko in Hokkaido.

It is the first time since October last year that the Ministry of Defense has announced that Russian aircraft and aircraft that appear to be Russian aircraft have invaded Japan's airspace.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the Russian aircraft "An-26" invaded Japan's territory twice, around 9:37 am and 9:58 am on the 12th, over Cape Shiretoko in Hokkaido.

The Air Self-Defense Force fighter plane scrambled and made an emergency start to warn by radio, and the Russian plane left the airspace.

The Ministry of Defense announced in October last year that Russian aircraft and aircraft believed to be Russian aircraft had invaded Japan's territory since a Russian helicopter invaded the territory of the same area around Cape Shiretoko last October.

According to the Ministry of Defense, this aircraft protested against the Russian government through diplomatic routes, saying that it may be a civilian aircraft based on the number of the aircraft.

The Ministry of Defense analyzes the affiliation of aircraft and the purpose of flight.
