End of Operation Barkhane: a logistical challenge

The days of Operation Barkhane are now numbered: in a few months the longest external operation of the French army will give way to a new operation entrusted to special forces.
Several forward bases in northern Mali such as those in Tessalit and Kidal will soon be closed.
A redeployment which will require enormous logistical work, in particular at the Gao base, which is the most important French military hold in Mali.
