The elephant group returned to Mojiang County from the south on August 12, and moved around the territory for 29 days.

The on-site headquarters helped the elephant swarm to cross the border safely and return to the Asian elephant activity distribution area. The blockage of the river may lead to the elimination of the risk of population isolation.

At this point, the safety precautions and emergency response of the northward Asian elephants have been fully completed, and the safety precautions and monitoring of the northward Asian elephants will be transferred to the territories to carry out normal management.
